Security Reminder

Only enter a Quick Assist code from Networks technicians you've contacted directly. Never enter codes from unsolicited callers or in response to unexpected emails. Our technicians will never ask for passwords, credit card information, or other sensitive data during a remote session.

How to Open Quick Assist Manually

Method 1: Windows Search

  1. 1 Click the Start button (Windows icon) in the bottom-left corner
  2. 2 Type "Quick Assist" in the search box
  3. 3 Click on Quick Assist when it appears in the results

Method 2: Windows Key + Ctrl + Q

Press Windows + Ctrl + Q at the same time to launch Quick Assist directly.

Once Quick Assist Opens

1 Select "Get assistance"

In the Quick Assist window, click the "Get assistance" button (not "Assist another person").

2 Enter the security code

Your Networks technician will provide you with a 6-character security code over the phone.

The code will look like:

1AB 2C3

Type this code exactly as given into the Quick Assist window and click "Submit". The code is only valid for 10 minutes.

3 Allow screen sharing

After entering the code, you'll see a prompt asking if you want to allow screen sharing.

Click "Allow" to grant the technician access to your computer.

4 Session is active

The technician can now view your screen and help resolve your issue. You can end the session at any time by clicking the "Leave" button in the Quick Assist window.
